Archie Wilson Wins GOP Endorsement for Commissioner

Archie Wilson is a man on a mission. Having secured the endorsement from the Clermont County GOP, the Batavia Township businessman is pulling out all the stops in his bid to be the next commissioner in Clermont County. "I am humbled to have the Republican endorsement. The voters in the Republican Party in Clermont County have spoken that they are ready for change, strong leadership and open government" Wilson commented. "T o win a sound majority for endorsement over an incumbent elected official of this party says a lot. People who know me in business, government or in my personal life know me to be a man of my word. Personal integrity and core values have always guided me, and I will bring these values with me as a County Commissioner."
Wilson explained his reasons for running. "Several years ago when my wife and I became grandparents, I was struck with the notion that I wanted to make sure that the America our grandchildren grow up in is at least as good, hopefully better, than it is now. If I can’t make a difference across the country, I can sure roll up my sleeves and see that Clermont County is a better place for all our children and grandchildren. I am living the American dream. When my partner and I started our business in 1978, it was just us, our old trucks and tools. Today we employ more than 70 people. I am familiar with hard work and I know during hard times you have to put in overtime. I can assure you that during these hard times I will work as much and as long as necessary to make this county a better place to live."
Wilson has had communication with every township, village and city in the county and is learning the needs and concerns of the citizens. "The residents want their government to care about the basics as much as anything else."
Wilson is co-owner of Midwest Plumbing, a full service contractor located in Amelia. Since 2001, he has served as a trustee in Batavia Township. He and his wife Sandy have lived and raised their family in Clermont County.
